The Fort Delaware Society held its 2011 Annual Meeting at the Christiana Hilton Inn on Sunday, February 6th. Officers and Directors of the Society for 2011 were confirmed by election of the members present. See Officers and Directors webpage. The Reedy Point Players of Delaware City under the direction of Gail L. Wagner entertained the meeting attendees with three one act plays. The first was entitled A Ghost Story with Kevin Swed portraying the ghost of President Abraham Lincoln and Erin Miller playing the role of a modern day hotel maid who encounters the ghost of Mr. Lincoln. The second play dramatized Grant & Lee at Appomattox featuring Will Hahn as General Robert E. Lee and Robert Bell as Lieutenant General Ulysses S. Grant. General Lee's uniform was courtesy of Kirk Davis and the Homefront General Store on 39 Queen Street in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The final presentation entitled Alan Pinterton Interviews a Confederate Spy cast Jake Hunter as Alan Pinkerton and Lara Sodom as the famed Confederate spy Rose Greenhow. |
