The purpose of the Fundraising Committee is to secure money and in-kind donation to benefit Fort Delaware State Park.  The Wal-Mart Super Center in Middletown recently gave the Society $1000 in a Community Grant  for use in the Fort's interpretive program.  The money is to be used to provide children's "period accurate" clothing for them to wear while on the island. It can also be used to purchase non-firing weaponry for the under 18 year old volunteer reenactors.
